Meet Julia

Julia Higgs is the founder of JVIA and is an Accredited Sports Nutritionist. She has worked in the Fitness Industry for almost 2 decades and as a gym owner and coach since 2013.

 

Her success comes from applying her in-depth knowledge of exercise and performance with her scientific evidence-based knowledge of performance nutrition.

 

Aside from giving nutritional advice to individual clients and teams, Julia has worked for the Sports Nutrition Association as an academic assessor, lecturer for the National Womens Fitness Institute and lecturer for Go Study at the International College of Management Studies in Sydney.

 

Julia specialises in 2 main areas:

  • Body transformations: from weight loss to muscle building and body composition;

  • Performance: providing nutritional advice to athletes to support their training, recovery and hydration.

 

She also provides specific advice on peak week/taper week protocols and race/competition day fuelling and recovery.

 

She has had a wealth of experience working with weight-class-based athletes, physique competitors and strength, power and endurance athletes.
